Copenhagen Games' organisers have announced the dates and location for the 2016 edition. The Danish event will once again take place inside the Øksnehallen exhibition centre, right in the heart of Copenhagen, but it will not be held in April as usual but from March 23-27. No details about the prize money or the format have been revealed, but the Danish company hopes that next year's tournament will "be the biggest one yet" and that Copenhagen Games will be "a top tier event again."
Virtus.pro won this year's CPH Games tournament, which featured a €26,000 prize pool, after beating Team SoloMid 2-0 in the grand final. Team Karma won the female competition after seeing off fellow North American side UBINITED 2-1 in the title decider. Besides Counter-Strike, Starcraft II and Hearthstone are being considered as potential titles for the event, the Danish organisers added. |
