The second edition of the eXTREMESLAND LAN has been announced, with the 2017 tournament once again set to feature a $100,000 prize pool and 16 teams from the Asia-Oceania region in competition. Last year's eXTREMESLAND, that was played on September 22-25, was won by ViCi, who were able to pull off a 2-1 victory against the Australian side Renegades. Not much seemingly changed this time around, as again 16 teams will be present at the as the $100,000 LAN Finals in Shanghai, China, but a at a slightly later date - eXTREMESLAND 2017 will be played out on October 19-22. The qualifiers will, similarly to last year, be split into 14 regions, with each region having a single spot at the LAN Finals except China, who will have three representatives amongst the 16 attending teams. According to the press release, the LAN spots will be distributed in the following way:
