Virtus.pro have secured their place at the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals after defeating PRIDE 2-1 in the Polish qualifier.
Coming into their semi-final, best-of-three game, Virtus.pro defeated Check-Point while PRIDE took down THE LEGION. Cache was the first map in the series and Virtus.pro started on the CT-side.
Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski & company had a marvelous start to the series as they went 11-4 up after dominating the first half on Cache. However, PRIDE were mentally strong and closed the gap to win the first map 16-14.
Virtus.pro recovered after losing the first map
Nuke was a blowout in favor of Virtus.pro who started the map on the T-side. Filip "NEO" Kubski's team secured twelve rounds in the first half and closed it out 16-4 to take the series to the third map.
Train was the last map of the series and the CT-sided PRIDE won the first half 8-7. Virtus.pro won the map 16-12 and series 2-1, booking their spot at the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals.
